August 2026 in the ITDR Workshop

August was a varied month in the Inverell Truck & Diesel Repairs workshop, with heavy vehicles and trailers in for registration repairs, scheduled servicing, diagnostics and major driveline work.

For regional operators, trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles are working assets. Keeping on top of servicing, compliance repairs and developing mechanical issues can help avoid unnecessary downtime when equipment is needed most.

Registration repairs for trucks and trailers

A DAF truck came into the workshop for registration repairs, with the team working through the items required to bring it back up to standard and safe condition.

Later in the month, another trailer was in for rego repairs. ITDR can carry out the repairs needed to help prepare trucks and trailers for registration requirements and getting back on the road.

Diff rebuild underway

A differential rebuild was underway in the workshop during August. Driveline concerns such as unusual noise, developing play or a change in how a vehicle feels on the road are worth checking early, before they have the chance to develop into a larger issue.

ITDR carries out heavy diesel mechanical and driveline work, while our parts team can help identify and source the components required for the job.

Mack engine and transmission work

A Mack Super-Liner was in the workshop for diagnosis of an engine pressurising issue. Problems like this are not always straightforward, so the important first step is to work through the symptoms, carry out the relevant checks and identify the actual cause before repairs are planned.

A Mack Trident was also in for transmission work. Transmission faults can affect gear changes, drivability and a truck’s ability to stay on the road. Correct diagnosis and repair work are important for reliable operation.

Emissions diagnostics

One truck came into the workshop with an emissions issue. Heavy diesel emissions systems need a considered diagnostic approach to identify the source of the fault and determine the appropriate repair work. ITDR has diagnostic equipment and heavy diesel experience to assess these types of issues.

Scheduled bus servicing

A Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa bus was in for scheduled servicing. Regular servicing is particularly important for buses and commercial vehicles that need to operate reliably and meet ongoing maintenance and compliance requirements.
